Pablo PICASSO (1881-1973), after L'Aubade original hand-colored kalachrome on cardboard signed upper right numbered on 240 copies (label on back) 41 × 61.5 cm Based on the painting by Pablo Picasso: "L' Aubade", 1965 (130 × 195 cm) in the collections of the Musée du Petit Palais, Geneva. "This painting evokes Jacqueline, his last companion, accentuating, not without humor, the deformations, the carnal awakening, the contrasting flamboyances" (extract from the catalog "L'extraordinaire aventure de l'aube du XXe siècle", p.172). Kalachromy or callichromy can be defined not as a reproduction or facsimile, but as a genuine work of art: it is engraved and printed by hand, without machine intervention at any stage.
